June Cooper SMART Center (St. Monica Academic Resource and Training Center) – Mission and Philosophy

The mission of the SMART Center is to help students achieve their maximum potential by offering academic support, counseling services, and enrichment opportunities. Our goal is to equip each person "with his or her limitations and gifts, feel encouraged to do his or her part for the good of the ecclesial body and for the good of society as a whole". (Pope Francis)

Our state-of-the-art learning support center, named after long-time student advocate June Cooper. The facilities are located in the front of McManus Hall and include counseling offices, literacy support classrooms, a learning lab, an enrichment room, tutoring areas, and conference rooms. Our team of specialists works closely together and in partnership with teachers, families, and outside professionals to ensure that our students become effective and self-sufficient learners.
