Basketball

The Basketball regular season consists of games played on Saturday and Sunday with practices during the week. St. Monica typically averages 18 to 20 teams. The DPL allows for 16 divisions between 5th and 8th grade between boys and girls. Games begin on January 9, 2027 and playoffs are in March. All coaches must have a St. Monica Safe Environment badge and attend a DPL Play Like A Champion session.

Evaluation Schedule:
5th Grade Boys Skills- November 7th, 9:00 am - 10:00 am
6th Grade Boys Skills-  November 7th, 10:00 am - 11:00 am
7th Grade Boys Skills- November 7th, 11:00 am- 12:00 pm
8th Grade Boys Skills- November 7th, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
5th Grade Girls Skills- November 7th, 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
6th Grade Girls Skills- November 7th, 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm
7th Grade Girls Skills- November 7th, 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
8th Grade Girls Skills- November 7th, 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Drop off and check-in will be at the St. Monica Small Gym 15 minutes before evaluation time. Pick up will be at the west entrance to the Family Center (Football Field). Volunteers to assist with supervision at drop off and pick up will be appreciated. Please email [email protected] if you can help with supervision. Athletes should wear proper attire, the school will supply basketballs. All athletes should be registered prior to attending an evaluation. All athletes will be required to have a current athletic physical on file with the school nurse.
