Bearcat Bots is a Robotics & STREAM Club that aims to instill hands-on opportunities to explore Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STREAM) through creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and discovery.
Robotics will remain at the forefront of the club, giving students opportunities to design, build, program, test, and improve robotic systems. Throughout the year, students will also have access to a wide variety of engaging STEM/STREAM activities and challenges, allowing them to explore areas such as engineering, coding, electronics, design, science, technology, and creative problem-solving.
Activities will incorporate three key elements of the engineering and design process:
Students will be encouraged to work both independently and collaboratively as they take on age-appropriate challenges that strengthen critical thinking, creativity, communication, and perseverance.
As a Catholic school, our faith will remain an important part of the club experience. Students will be encouraged to recognize their talents as gifts from God and consider how science, technology, creativity, and innovation can be used to serve others, care for creation, work collaboratively, and positively impact our community.
The goal of the Robotics & STREAM Club is not only to develop future engineers, programmers, designers, and problem-solvers, but also to help students become responsible, creative, faith-filled innovators who use their knowledge and talents for the good of others.
