St. Monica is truly fortunate to have a teacher like Mrs. Krause. Her passion for teaching inspires a love of learning in her students. In our St. Monica community, our teachers are deeply valued for their dedication and commitment to the well-being and growth of each student, even in challenging times.
Mrs. Krause builds meaningful relationships rooted in trust and mutual respect, creating a classroom where students feel safe, valued, and confident to grow. Often, one of the first teachers a child has on their new school journey, Mrs. Krause leads by example through virtue, recognizes the dignity and goodness in every child, and connects faith to action in meaningful, age-appropriate ways that spark spiritual awareness and thoughtful choices.
One parent said, “I can see how God made her to teach the young students,” and added, “With Mrs. Krause's daily practice, our son can recite 4 different prayers and lead our dinner prayer.”
Ms. Krause goes above and beyond as a teacher. For example, over Christmas break, she noticed a student had left her stuffy and blanket at school. Mrs. Krause selflessly, without a second thought, dropped the items off at her student’s home before heading to enjoy her own Christmas break.
Her classroom is always bright, vibrant, and full of joy—a reflection of her creativity, imagination, and intentional lesson planning. She is forward-thinking and innovative, thoughtfully incorporating technology and creative strategies to engage diverse learners and foster more student-led moments.
Students feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. She truly makes the school a better place for students and families. She takes the time to understand each child’s unique personality and needs. Above all, she brings an incredible “heart” to her work. Her positivity, warmth, and unwavering support shine through in every interaction, and it’s clear she genuinely loves what she does.
Congratulations, Mrs. Krause, on being named Teacher of the Month!
