St. Monica Pride Choir – Rehearsal: Friday at 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. in the church (only on Mass days)

• This choir is the flagship choir of the SMS choirs.  They lead the Music for our Friday morning school Masses on school days. The singers also serve as cantors for the Mass. The choir sings a wide variety of music and the rehearsals are upbeat and filled with energy. Students must be in grades 5-8.

St. Monica Select Choir – Rehearsal: Grades 5-8, Wednesdays afterschool- 5:00 p.m., Meet in Cafeteria.

• This choir is the most advanced choir at St. Monica.  This choir focuses on more technical choral techniques and basic music theory.

St. Monica Bearcat Choir – Rehearsal: 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. in the Church (only Mass Days)

• The Bearcat choir leads the Music for our Tuesday morning school Masses only on school days. The singers also serve as cantors for the Mass. The students learn music for the Mass as well as fundamentals of music and liturgy. Students must be in grades 2-4.

Parish Honor Choir

Grades 2-4 Rehearses Thursdays after school –  5:00 p.m., Meet in Cafeteria.  NOTE: Students from schools other than St. Monica may arrive when they are able.

• This group allows the young members of St. Monica Parish and School to prepare and lead music in a Sunday Mass. The singers learn a wide variety of music from all time periods. In rehearsals the students learn fundamentals of singing and music and fundamentals of liturgy, as well as preparing for Sunday Masses.
